The birth of Boonton's Scouts began on September 10, 1910 when Boonton Troop 1 received its charter.
Through the years, hundreds of scouts and leaders have joined together for adventure, camaraderie, and duty to the community.
Boonton's Troop 1 meets weekly at 7:00 PM on Thursdays in the school gym at Our Lady of Mount Carmel School, 910 Birch St., Boonton, NJ 07005. If you are interested in becoming a member, a volunteer, have a community activity or potential Eagle project you would like to share with the troop, please email Scoutmaster Bill Clark at williamclark@pkbengineering.com.
“For those of you who don’t know me, I have lived in Boonton since
1996. This year, I celebrated my 28th wedding anniversary and have
three children ages 22, 20, and 13. I have two boys and a girl. My two
sons were scouts in both Pack 201 and Troop 1. For the past 12
years, I have been involved with Troop 1. I have been Scoutmaster since 2021, prior to that I was an assistant Scoutmaster for 10
years. I also served as the Cubmaster of Pack 201 for five years.
Feeling old just writing this. But enough about me.”
